Saddlebag Stories
This book was written by a mystery writer, a Harley rider whose love for the freedom of the open road took him over 250,000 miles on the highways and byways of the US, including Alaska, as well as Canada and Mexico, his many routes shown on the cover of the book. He lived to ride; it was his first priority and in the end it took his life.
Along the way he wrote from the heart with great emotion about his life as he saw it, with its ups and downs, loves and loves lost, always seeking that elusive dream of happiness. He hid his true feelings behind a tough exterior and his work was rarely shared with anyone in his lifetime. His privacy was of utmost importance to him and very little is known of his early life except that trouble followed him everywhere.
These tales come from previously unpublished notebooks which he carried with him in his bike’s saddlebag. Over the years he revised many of his works, so the original pages included in this book may not match his final version. The entries dated back to the 60’s and continued until shortly before his recent death, alone on his beloved “scooter”, just as he had predicted over 20 years ago.
Perhaps you will recognize some hidden parts of yourself in his secret reflections.
This book is dedicated to all those men and women who put their faces into the wind looking for adventure and freedom.
I hope you order this book and enjoy it. There is a little for everyone in it. Please feel free to leave your comments on our blog at the Biker Forum
